Effect of yeast culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) strain 1026 addition on milk yield and milk quality of Holstein cows in pasture

Effect of yeast culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) strain 1026 addition on milk yield and milk quality of Holstein cows in pasture

Revista Brasileira de Zootecnia 27(6): 1248-1252

The effects of the addition of a yeast culture (S. cerevisiae, strain 1026) to concentrate diets of Holstein dairy cows on milk yield, and milk fat and milk protein concentrations were examined. 11 cows, in the beginning of lactation period were fed for 11 weeks on Trifolium repens-Lotus corniculatus-Lolium multiflorum silage and a concentrate supplement, in addition to grazing the same pastures.
