Effects of plant density and different amounts of nitrogen and potassium fertilizer on vegetative growth and forage yield of maize

In a field study carried out in 1996 at Abureihan Research Farm of Tehran University, forage maize was grown at 6.5, 7.5 or 8.5 plants/msuperscript 2 and given different combinations of N and K fertilizers. Maximum plant height, leaf area index and dry matter yield were obtained at 8.5 plants/msuperscript 2.
