The energy consumption required to dehumidify tomato greenhouses in Quebec, Canada, was studied and how much could be saved through the use of heat exchangers was estimated. Three humidity-control strategies were simulated and evaluated by a GX software package programmed with meteorological data recorded at Universite Laval, Quebec City, between September 1990 and June 1991.
