Coconut cultivars West Coast Tall (WCT) and Komadan, were compared for 6 yield components and 16 nut characteristics at 30 years of age. Komadan had a greater nut production potential than WCT (119 vs. 89 nuts/tree/year). Komadan was superior to WCT for 4 nut characters, namely volume of nut water, weight of kernel, weight of embryo and copra content/nut.
