Evaluation of different application methods of metam sodium and pebulate for control of fusarium crown rot and nutsedge in tomato

An experiment was conducted during 1994-95 using the tomato Sunny in a commercial field in southwest Florida naturally infested with Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. radicis-lycopersici (Fusarium crown and root rot (FCRR)) and nutsedge (Cyperus sp.). Treatments included methyl bromide-chloropicrin (MBC, 392 kg/ha) or metam sodium (MS, 935 litre/ha) plus pebulate (4.5 kg/ha). MBC was injected to a depth of 23 cm using 3 chisels spaced 28 cm apart.
