Feeding behaviour and zootechnical results in two housing systems with liquid feeding for growing-finishing pigs

Feeding behaviour and zootechnical results in two housing systems with liquid feeding for growing-finishing pigs

Journees de la Recherche Porcine en France 28: 181-188

The effect of two housing systems, large and small groups, was evaluated from feeding activity and performance results in growing-finishing pigs. The study was carried out on a pen with 48 pigs fed from 2 circular troughs, and 4 groups of 12 pigs fed from a linear trough. In the first system each of the 3 meals was divided into two and distributed as two meals separated by a half hour interval. Feeding activity was recorded during 2 days.
