Foliar and tuber resistance of potato varieties to potato blight (Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary)

In 1998, foliar and tuber resistance of 46 potato varieties to potato blight (Phytophthora infestans) was studied. Foliar resistance was evaluated in an inoculation experiment conducted in a plastic tunnel, while tuber resistance was tested under natural infection conditions. Foliar infection (% of infected surface) and tuber infection (% of infected tubers) of the genotypes ranged between 0-95% and 2-25%, respectively.
