Genetic association and variability for grain yield and other quantitative characters in F2 population of wheat crosses

Some 21 populations of F2 wheat crosses showed high genetic coefficients of variation, heritabilities and high genetic advance for plant height, ear length, test weight, tillers/plant and grain yield. Grain yield/plant was significantly and positively associated with ear length and tillers/plant. Tillers/plant and spikelets/ear exhibited positive correlations with ear length and florets/ear, respectively.
