The data used in this study included (1) performance test (PERF; 140- or 112-day tests) results for body weight, average daily gain (ADG), concentrate intake, roughage intake and TDN conversion (TDN consumption/kg gain) on 639 Wagyu cattle, progeny of 51 sires, and (2) progeny test (PROG) for body weight, ADG, dressing percentage, eye muscle area and marbling grade on 493 animals, progeny of 63 sires.
