Genetic study on nit mutants and fungicide resistant mutants of Verticillium dahliae

Genetic study on nit mutants and fungicide resistant mutants of Verticillium dahliae

Mycosystema 17(2): 137-142

The inheritance of pathogenicity and cultural characteristics of mutants of V. dahliae were investigated. The results indicated that all of 5 tricyclazole-tolerant isolates of the fungus lost tolerance after storage and successive mass transfers; 1 out of 10 nitrate-non utilizing (nit) mutants reverted to wild-type after 3 months storage, but others were stable and caused a lower infection rate than their wild-type isolates.
