Seeds of groundnuts TMV 2, K 3, K134 and K 150 were germinated in solutions containing 0-1.2% NaCl. Days to sprouting increased and germination percentage and seedling root and shoot growth decreased with increasing salinity, with K 3 followed by TMV 2 showing the best resistance to salinity effects.
