A field experiment was conducted during 1991-93 at Bangalore, Karnataka, India, to study the response of lemongrass Cauvery to N applications (0, 50, 100 or 150 kg N/ha) under irrigated conditions in a semi-arid tropical climate. Growth attributes such as plant height, leaf area index and tiller production/clump, herbage and oil yields were highest with N at 100 kg/ha.
