Hormonal changes in floral organs of cytoplasmic male-sterile line and its maintainer line of tsatsai (tuber mustard)

Endogenous hormones (IAA, ZT and ABA were evaluated in the floral organs of a tsatsai (Brassica juncea var. tumida) CMS line and its maintainer (M). IAA and ZT contents in CMS stamens increased slightly during floral organ development, with respective values at the large bud and full flowering stages being IAA, 1.8 and 8.0 ng per stamen, and ZT, 19.2 and 22.4 ng per stamen; these values are only 17, 41, 40 and 15% as much as those in the M line.
