Implications of genotype-by-environment interactions for yield adaptation of rainfed lowland rice: influence of flowering date on yield variation

Implications of genotype-by-environment interactions for yield adaptation of rainfed lowland rice: influence of flowering date on yield variation

Breeding strategies for rainfed lowland rice in drought prone environments: Proceedings of an International Workshop, Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand, 5-8 November 1996: 104-114

The major causes of yield variation among rice genotypes under rainfed lowland conditions in Thailand and Lao were investigated. Strong genotype-environment (G x R) interactions were identified for yield. Genotype-location-year (GxLxY) interactions were the largest source of GxE interactions, followed by genotype-location (GxS) and genotype-year (GxY) interactions.
