Integrated use of fertilizers and poultry manure to groundnut crop

In a field experiment at Dapoli, Maharashtra, in rabi 1995/96, groundnuts Konkan Gaurav were given 0, 1, 2 or 3 t poultry manure/ha and 0, 50 or 100% of the recommended fertilizer rate of 25 kg N + 50 kg P2O5/ha. Pod yield was 1.77, 1.98, 2.24 and 2.56 t/ha with increasing rates of poultry manure, and 1.82, 2.21 and 2.39 t/ha with increasing NP rates. Poultry manure increased Zn uptake significantly, and gave non-significant increases in uptake of Cu, Mn and Fe.
