The survival of the ectoparasite Tropilaelaps clareae was studied under laboratory conditions at 29+or-1 degrees C and 65-70% RH. The male and female mites survived up to 6 and 8 days, respectively. The mean longevity of males and females was 3.49 and 3.66 days, respectively.
