Maintenance of steelhead trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) sperm at different in vitro oxygen tensions alters ATP levels and cell functional characteristics

Maintenance of steelhead trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) sperm at different in vitro oxygen tensions alters ATP levels and cell functional characteristics

Fish Physiology and Biochemistry 21(3): 193-200

Evidence was obtained that intracellular ATP in steelhead trout spermatozoa can be modulated by ambient oxygen without significant loss of viability and that this ATP has a role in cell motility and fertility, sperm packing and cell flexibility.
