Metabolism in compensatory growth. III. The urea, glucose and CO2 entry rates in animal undergoing compensatory growth

Metabolism in compensatory growth. III. The urea, glucose and CO2 entry rates in animal undergoing compensatory growth

Jurnal Ilmu Ternak dan Veteriner 2(1): 22-32

Glucose (GER), Urea (UER) and CO2 (CO2 ER) entry rates were studied at four points in the growth curve of 16 Merino wether lambs: before feed restriction (P1), after 8 weeks of feed restriction (P2), and 3 weeks (P3) and 15 weeks (P4) following resumption of ad libitum feeding. The feed used was pelleted lucerne (Medicago sativa) given ad libitum for 3 weeks. The lambs were then divided into 2 groups of eight.
