Method of determining the throughput capacity of a thresher and the class of a grain combine-harvester

Method of determining the throughput capacity of a thresher and the class of a grain combine-harvester

Traktory i Sel' skokhozyaistvennye Mashiny ( 6): 26-28

A comparative study was made in the Ukraine of grain losses, throughput and class (i.e. throughput in kg/s) for several different models of Lexion combine-harvesters, and also on the performance of 10 different models of foreign combines (New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Deutz-Fahr, MDW). Correlations were found between the operating throughput of a combine and the width of the thresher for various power ratings (118, 145, 173, 200, and 228 kW), and the results are shown in a graph.
