Micropropagation of some ornamental plants. 3 In vitro culture and establishment of Dracaena marginata var. Tricolor

Axillary buds, excised from established plantlets grown in vitro from stem cuttings and shoot tips of D. marginata (cv. Tricolor) on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium, were excised and placed into culture vessels containing MS medium supplemented with benzyladenine at 0, 1, 2 or 4 mg/litre in combination with NAA at 0, 0.05, 0.1 or 0.2 mg/litre. The highest rate of shoot proliferation was produced on MS medium containing benzyladenine at 4 mg/litre and NAA at 0.05 mg/litre.
