Morphological marker for the early selection of drought-tolerant rice varieties

Seedlings of 3 somaclones selected under salinity conditions and their donor variety, salt susceptible A82, were raised under water stress conditions (polyethylene glycol at 16 and 20 g/litre) in the laboratory. At 21-days-old germination percentage, plant height, root number and root system length were evaluated.
