Occurrence of root rot in rice fallow blackgram (Macrophomina phaseolina)



Legume Research 22(2): 139-140



The survey on the incidence of root rot disease of rice fallow blackgram (Vigna mungo) caused by Macrophomina phaseolina in the Karaikal district of Tamil Nadu revealed that the disease incidence ranged from 16 to 33%. In general, sandy loam/sandy clay soils registered higher percentage of root rot incidence than that of clay soil.
