Patterns of humus forms and vegetation in managed Norway spruce forests at Hochwechsel (Austria)

Patterns of humus forms and vegetation in managed Norway spruce forests at Hochwechsel (Austria)

Ecologie 29(1/2): 377-382

Humus forming processes in managed Norway spruce (Picea abies) forests were studied at Hochwechsel (Austria). The spatial diversity of humus horizons was characterized by micro-site parameters. Humus descriptions were based on morphological and chemical characters, and vegetation samples.
