Plasticity and stability of spring durum wheat varieties with respect to protein content in grain

Plasticity and stability of spring durum wheat varieties with respect to protein content in grain

Russian Agricultural Sciences 1998; ( 6): 1-6

Eighteen varieties were grown at Saratov, Krasnyi Kut and Ershov in southern Russia. With respect to the protein content in the grain, the varieties Svetlana, Kharkovskaya 17, Altaika, Luganskaya 7, Altaiskaya Niva, Almaz and Omsk Rubin were plastic, while Tselinogradskaya 85 and Melyanopus 69 were homeostatic. The variety Tselinogradskaya 85 was ecologically stable.
