Field experiments were conducted in Poland during 1994-96 to evaluate the efficacy of Avans 360 SL and Basta 200 SL for the control of weeds in lemon balm (Melissa officinalis). Avans 360 SL at 5.0 litres ha-1 and Basta 200 SL at 3.0 litres ha-1 applied preemergence gave a good level of weed control and increased crop yield.
