Biomass and essential oil productions by E. globulus subsp. globulus were determined in the nursery, and in older plants in the field, in Morocco. In the nursery at 0.25x0.25 m spacing dry biomass production was 0.38 and 1.57 t/ha, respectively, at 2 and 8 months old. The essential oil yield was similar at both ages (2.75 to 2.92%). In the forest, for 8 month old plants, biomass production varied with spacing. Dry matter production was 6.13 t/ha at a spacing of 0.5x0.5 m and 0.96 t/ha at a spacing of 3x3 m. The essential oil yield varied from 1.56 to 2.60%, respectively, at spacings of 3x3 and 0.5x0.5 m.
