Productivity of some multipurpose trees in silvopastoral systems on highly degraded lands in semi-arid region

Representative sample trees were felled for estimation of fodder and fuelwood productivity in 8-yr-old Acacia tortilis, Albizia amara and Hardwickia binata based silvopastoral systems on highly degraded and shallow red soil at Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh (India). The pasture in the system was mainly Sehima nervosum and Dichanthium annulatum; tree spacing was 2x2 m.
