Quantity and quality of buffalo follicular oocytes recovered by aspiration and scoring methods for in vitro studies

Buffalo ovaries were collected from an abattoir within 2 h after slaughter of the animals, and were transported to the laboratory in saline solution with antibiotic at body temperature (37 degrees C). Oocytes were recovered by aspiration (192 ovaries) and by scoring the ovarian surface (185 ovaries).
