Two field investigations carried out on an alfic Ustochrept soil under semiarid tropical climatic conditions at Hyderabad revealed that 39 kg P and 75 kg K ha-1 applied in three equal splits at each harvest using point placement produced the tallest plants, the greatest number of tillers plant-1, maximum dry herbage and essential oil yields of lemongrass Pragati without affecting essential oil content and percentage citral.
