Response of the promising sugarcane variety G.85/37 growing under middle Egypt region to different sources and rates of nitrogen

Response of the promising sugarcane variety G.85/37 growing under middle Egypt region to different sources and rates of nitrogen

Pakistan Sugar Journal 12(1): 10-15

In field trials at the Agricultural Experiment Farm, El-Minia University, in 1994-97, sugarcane G.85/37 was given 150, 180 or 210 kg N/feddan at planting and 187.7, 225 or 262.5 kg N/feddan at the first ratoon as ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate or urea. Yields and yield components of plant crops and first ratoon crops were highest with ammonium sulfate as a N source.
