Some interesting aspects of development and population dynamics of an outbreak of nun moth (Lymantria monacha) in the Czech Republic in 1993-1996

Data are given on an outbreak of nun moth (L. monacha) in the Czech Republic. 11 localities were affected, usually for 2-3 years. The outbreaks were widespread and included the centre, north and east of the Czech Republic which were pure stands or almost pure stands of Picea abies. The most important outbreaks were in the centre of the country.
