Studies on Fusarium moniliforme heterokaryon
F. moniliforme TJ47 was isolated from a rice field in Tianjin, China. Through single hyphal-tip isolation, a heterokaryon, TJ47-26, which consists of 3 different component nuclear types, designated respectively as purple (P), red (R), and white (W) types on the basis of the colour produced on leonian nutrient agar, was obtained. Pure lines of the 3 different component nuclear types were derived from single microconidium isolation.
