Studies on bacterial scab of tomato in Shandong Province. Identification of pathogen and resistance of varieties

Sixty bacterial strains were isolated from diseased tomato leaves and fruits showing scab symptoms in 13 cities of Jinan, Xintai, Qingdao, Yantai, Zibo, Linyi, Tengzhou and Heze in Shandong Province, China, during 1993-95. Pathogenicity tests showed that all strains could produce characteristic symptoms of scab on tomato, with some variance in pathogenicity.
