Abstract
Coix lacryma-jobi seeds were treated with a mutagen ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) at concentrations of 0, 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9%. The results indicated that EMS could induce chromosomal aberrations of root tip cells and adverse effects on seedling ratio, seedling height, root length, root number and peroxidase activity.
