Acta Horticulturae ( 478): 113-118
Studies on fertilization of plum in vitro
In experiments in 1994-96, nucelluses and ovules of plum Sweet Common Prune were fertilized with pollen from Stanley on White medium supplemented with 15% sucrose. After 24 h, nucelluses and ovules were transferred to various culture media supplemented with different concentrations of sucrose and plant growth regulators. Pollen tubes near the ovules and nucelluses were strongly chemotropic.
