Studies on grafting technique of cucumber on shoot with root cutting

Journal of Shandong Agricultural University 28(2): 121-126

Cucumber Xintaimici shoots were grafted on rooted cuttings of blackseed squash (Cucurbita ficifolia). Compared with grafting on shoot cuttings and approach grafting, grafting on cuttings with roots resulted in plants with higher root activity, strong root absorption capacity, higher chlorophyll content (1.74 mg/g FW) and a higher rate of photosynthesis for the 3rd leaf.
