Studies on improving wheat cultivars by tissue culture
Wheat cultivars CA9070, CA8694 and Jing411 with stable agronomic traits were used in in vitro culture of young inflorescences, anthers and immature embryos, and the impact of the culture method on yield components was evaluated. Immature embryo culture produced the most regenerants without significant differences between genotypes, whereas large genotypic differences existed in anther culture regenerants.
