Abstract
Predation on adult tiger beetle (Cicindela campestris olivieria) by a robber fly (Laphria sp.) is reported and photographically documented. All the entomological literature is reviewed and all records are reported of similar known instances of predation (or predatory attempts) by a robber fly on a tiger beetle. The analysis suggests that robber flies may be considered to be more or less regular predators of adult tiger beetles.
