Taxonomic revision of Geranium sections Batrachioidea and Divaricata (Geraniaceae)

, : Taxonomic revision of Geranium sections Batrachioidea and Divaricata (Geraniaceae). Annals of the Missouri Botanical Garden 85(4): 594-630

Geranium subg. Robertium (Geraniaceae) comprises eight sections, of which section Batrachioidea and section Divaricata are revised in this paper. Geranium sect. Batrachioidea consists of four species centred in Eurasia, between the Mediterranean region and the Himalaya Mountains, although they have also expanded to many temperate areas in America, South Africa and Australia. In contrast to the current literature, G. brutium is considered to be a synonym of G. molle.
