, : Taxonomic significance of female supra-anal plate, cerci and subgenital plate in some grasshoppers of Al-Shati Region, Libya (Orthoptera: Acrididae). Arab Universities Journal of Agricultural Sciences 6(2): 543-553

A comparative study of female supra-anal, cerci and subgenital plates was carried out on 17 species of grasshoppers representing 10 genera of the family Acrididae. These external parts of the female genitalia are described and drawings presented for each species. The shape and size of the female supra-anal plate, cerci and subgenital plate can be used to separate various genera and species of Acrididae.
