The application of a high concentrated solution of boric acid to wood preservative treatment

The application of a high concentrated solution of boric acid to wood preservative treatment

Journal of the Hokkaido Forest Products Research Institute 12(1): 7-13

The application of a highly concentrated solution of boric acid to wood preservative treatment was investigated. From the threshold values, it was clear that a highly concentrated solution of boric acid was more effective than Tim-Bor against Coriolus versicolor and Serpula lacrymans A concentration of boric acid more than 20% was required to inhibit mould growth perfectly, because it had low anti mould ability.
