The effect of nitrogen fertilizer on the dry matter content and mineral elements in radish

In a 3-year field trial on lime-free chernozem soil, radish cultivars Cherry Bell and Champion were given N fertilizer at 0, 50, 100, 150 or 200 kg/ha in addition to 100 kg/ha each of P and K. N content of radish roots was significantly correlated with N fertilizer dose (2.311% and 2.883% with 0 and 200 kg/ha N, respectively). Fertilizer application did not significantly affect P or K accumulation in radish roots, but affected Ca and Fe accumulation.
