The effects of various levels of dietary sunflower seed on performance of laying hens and fatty acid composition of egg yolk lipids

The effects of various levels of dietary sunflower seed on performance of laying hens and fatty acid composition of egg yolk lipids

Agribiological Research 51(3): 237-244

The effect of feeding diets with various amounts of sunflower seed on performance in laying hens and fatty acid composition of egg yolk lipids was studied. 72 hens were assigned to 6 groups and fed a control diet based predominantly on soyabean meal as source of protein or a control diet in which soyabean meal was partially replaced by sunflower expeller, or diets with 10, 20, 25 or 30% of sunflower seed.
