The evaluation of good rice germplasm Longjing 8 bred with anther culture in cold region

Scientia Agricultura Sinica 32(3): 39-43

Obtained by anther culture from Longjiao 87178, which was derived from the cross of Longjiao 82133 and N193-2, Longjing 8 is released for cultivation in colder regions of China. Elite rice germplasm Longjing 8 was selected using a combination of conventional pedigree and anther culture which had the advantage of accelerating generation advancement and increasing selection efficiency. It is an early maturing Keng rice in cold regions, with good quality.
