Uptake of selected organochlorine pesticides by maize from a deep-loam pale earth and from a loess black-earth in a pot experiment

Lindane and methoxychlor were each applied at rates equivalent to a soil contamination of 50 mg dry matter/kg to vessels containing a deep-loam pale (grey) soil and a loess black-earth Maize Anjou 09 was grown in the soils, with various fertilizer treatments, and the contents of lindane and methoxychlor in the shoots, roots and grain were determined at the end of the season.
