Value orientation of tribal and non-tribal farmers of Chotanagpur region of Bihar

A value orientation scale with 14 items was used to measure the value orientation of a sample of 120 tribal and 120 non-tribal farmers from eight villages in Chotanagpur region, Bihar, India The majority of tribal respondents had a medium or low level of value orientation (53.34% and 38.33% of respondents, respectively), whereas most non-tribal respondents had a medium or high level of value orientation (80.84% and 18.33% of respondents, respectively).
