Variability of agronomic traits and yield evaluation of winter oilseed rape strains in preliminary trials 1995/1996

18 winter oilseed rape strains were evaluated for yield and its components in preliminary trials at 8 locations in Poland. There was a good agreement between mean number of plants per unit area averaged for all locations and number of plants in Borowo, Bakow, Mayszyn, agiewniki and Strzelce. Seed yield was positively correlated with number of plants before the winter, number of plants after the winter and oil content, but was negatively correlated to 1000-seed weight.
