A study of crested wheatgrass (Agropyron cristatum), subalpine brome (Bromus tomentellus), sheep's fescue (Festuca ovina), junegrass (Koeleria cristata , needlegrass (Stipa lagascae), hybrid alfalfa (Medicago varia) and cat thyme (Teucrium polium) in rangelands in Erzurum, Turkey, during the 1994 growing season showed that crude protein, P, Mg and K contents steadily decreased during growth, while cellulose content increased. Ca content increased until flowering.
