Variation in pathogenicity, morphology and conidial agglutination of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. narcissi and resistance to basal rot in Narcissus

Variation in pathogenicity, morphology and conidial agglutination of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. narcissi and resistance to basal rot in Narcissus

Acta Horticulturae ( 430): 597-604

In studies on the control of basal rot of narcissus caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. narcissi, variations in the forma have been noted, with isolates differing from previous descriptions and in some instances from the F. oxysporum 'type'. Significant differences in virulence were observed between 18 isolates collected from 7 countries, with 2 isolates being classified as avirulent. The highly virulent isolates were those isolated from highly susceptible cultivars.
