Variation in the duration of vegetative growth and in yield components of beans cv. Kutjevacki rani in western Slavonia

Analysis of field trials in 1974-1987 in western Slavonia with beans Kutjevacki rani showed that the duration of the vegetative growth period varied between 90 and 119 days and was positively correlated with mean daytime temperature. Average pod number/plant varied from 8 to 43.5, number of seeds/pod from 2.8 to 5.4, and 1000-seed weight from 160 to 245 g, resulting in yield variations from 1.32 to 5.86 kg/msuperscript 2.
